At the March 3 meeting of the Sauquoit Valley Optimist Club, Broc Barker was honored as the Youth of the Month for February, while Evan Critelli was recognized as the March recipient.  Both students were celebrated during a dinner reception at Orchard Hall Restaurant, where they were presented with a plaque and a $100 check.  Congratulations to Broc and Evan for exemplifying excellence in academics, extracurricular activities and in the Sauquoit Valley community!

Congratulations to Michelle Babbie, T5 Insurance Services’ School District Employee of the Month!  Jan. 2026.

We are pleased to announce Michelle Babbie, SVHS Librarian, as our T5 District Employee of the Month! Michelle makes the high school library the heart of our campus, cultivating a positive and inclusive environment where every student feels seen and supported. Beyond providing a welcoming space, she is a vital mentor in helping students navigate the complexities of the modern world. By teaching them how to critically interpret information, she empowers our youth to think for themselves and make informed, thoughtful choices. Her dedication to the student experience is further evidenced by her lead role in designing fun and innovative ideas which range from coloring competitions, to fund raisers, to dances, the Prom, and student events.

Michelle is also  a cornerstone of professional support for her colleagues. She works tirelessly to link staff members with the specific resources and texts needed to enhance student outcomes across all disciplines. As a leader among peers, Michelle is currently at the helm of developing a comprehensive support program for new staff, ensuring our newest educators have the tools they need to succeed. Whether she is serving on numerous district and school building committees or collaborating with her colleagues, Michelle’s work ethic and passion demonstrate that she truly lives and breathes SVCSD!
